SAM Cisco Speaker Event – Tuesday, February 16th @ 4:30pm – SJSU Student Union Costonoan Room
VP of Information Technology Guillermo Diaz will give a presentation to SAM, LBSA, and AKPsi students on various business topics. Also in attendance are Cisco’s University Recruitment, Sr. HR Manager Niki Bacaam and new graduates

Come out and get to know SAM officers and members on a more personal level at Flames Restaurant in Downtown San Jose (4th Street and San Fernando) Note: This will be an unsponsored event.
LBSA/SAM Salsa Night Social – Thursday, March 4th @ 8pm – Azucar! Latin Bistro & Mojito Bar
LBSA has extended an invite to their semesterly Salsa Night. This year’s event is being held at Azucar! Latin Bistro & Mojito Bar off San Fernando and between 2nd and 3rd Street in Downtown San Jose. Come out and have fun, learn a new skill, and network with LBSA

SAM Movie Night Fundraiser @ Camera 12 – Thursday, March 11th @ 7:00pm – Camera 12 Theaters, Downtown SJ
SAM will be holding its first fundraiser of the year at Camera 12 in Downtown San Jose. We will be showing Alice in Wonderland in Disney Digital 3D! Movie promptly starts at 7pm, arrive early for best seating! Tickets are only $7 and are available from any officer and some current members. Tell your friends! Also, join us for drinks and appetizers at Mosaic Restaurant & Lounge afterwards!
Etiquette Dinner – Friday, March 19th @ 6:00-7:30pm – Atrium Room – Il Fornaio, 302 S. Market Street
Come and learn essential table manners and dining skills with leading etiquette consultant Sharyn Amoroso. Taking place in the heart of Downtown San Jose at Il Fornaio Restaurant (Atrium Room) the cost is $35 and includes a salad, main course, dessert and your choice of soda or tea. Cash or check (payable to Alonozo Espinoza or Nancy Thai) must be received by Wednesday, March 17th to reserve seating. Attire is business casual.

LBSA, FMA & SAM Networking Mixer – Friday, April 9th @ 6:00 – 8:00pm – Saint Claire Hotel in Downtown SJ
According to the US Dept. of Labor, over 70% of people attained a job through networking. With that being said, LBSA, in collaboration with SAM,and FMA, bring you an evening full of networking. Mingle with Professionals from HP, Intuit, Intel, Apple, Oracle, and many more. Do not miss this opportunity where the student is in the spotlight! Free for LBSA,SAM and FMA members and participating members of the sponsored organization. Free for all professionals who RSVP.

Guest Speaker: Walter Feigenson will be explaining how to brand yourself on the internet via various social networks. Free for SAM members. Meet at the Il Fornaio Atrium at 6pm SHARP! Note: Dress code is “Business Casual” attire.

SJSU Spartan Homecoming Tailgate – Saturday, October 10 @ 12:00pm-6:00pm – Spartan Stadium
Come out and join SAM/LBSA/ISACA/Alpha Kappa Psi at Spartan Stadium. Free BBQ and beverages will be available for all members. Game starts at 5PM
Professional Polish Event – Wednesday, October 21 @ 6:00pm – Student Union Ballroom
Guest Speaker will talk about professional etiquette for the first hour. During the second hour, the ballroom will be opened to practice your newly learned skills. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Cost Estimate: $20 – SAM will try to raise funds to lower the cost for students, but cannot guarantee a spot. Spots are capped at 100 students FROM ALL CoB organizations.
Bowling and Billiards Social/Meeting – Thursday, October 22 @ 3:00pm-5:00pm – SJSU Student Union
This month, we will be having a bowling and billiards social for all members, officers, and friends. This event will be free! We will be in the Student Union Bowling Center from 3 to 5 PM, on Thursday, October 22nd. Save the date!! Bowling will be from 3-4, and billiards 4-5 PM. Join us! We will be making important announcements about future events and the spring 2010 semester! Hope to see you then!
