Hi Sam Members,
The the past two days, we’ve had a few events, the Sonoma Chicken Scoop and a guest speaker from Hyatt. I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank everybody who came out to Sonoma and support us with our fundraiser.
I would also like to thank those who came out to listen to Vasuki. I hope you learned and got some useful information from the guest speaker today. For those who were not able to make it Vasuki gave out a few useful information such as the job search website for hyatt which is “http://hyatt.jobs”

Theres a few things that are coming up next week that we would like to remind you.
First off, Next Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Sam and Ma (Marketing Association) is having a fundraiser/social at Sonoma Chicken Coop. This is a great chance to meet other students and grow on your network.

Next, Sam will be having a guest speaker event coming in next wednesday. Vasuki Bellary is the assistant general manager at Hyatt. She was actually an SJSU Graduate. She will be coming to talk about her experiences through school and becoming the assistant general manager. MA has also been invited to the event.

SJSU Job Fair Expo & Updates

Hi Sam Members,
Glad to see those faces at the Resume Workshop today. Hope everybody learned a lot from the workshop today.
This is just a short reminder about the upcoming job fair held at SJSU next Wednesday from 12pm to 5pm at the Event Center. The job fair is a great opportunity to get your name out there and possibly find that intern you have been looking for the summer.
In addition, we have added another guest speaker onto our events page. Nora Denzl will be telling her experience on climbing the corporate ladder. What to do, and what not to do. The guest speaker will be opened to all business organizations which makes this is a great chance to meet other students in different business fields and connect with others.
Resume Workshop
Feb 21
SAM and MA (Management Association) will be holding a Resume Workshop this coming Thursday. This workshop will help students prepare and/or enhance a current resume to make it ready for the work world. Being that the Job Fair is coming the following week, this is a great time to improve resume’s before submitting them to professionals.
The Resume Workshop is FREE to paid members. However, if you are not a member, you can still come, for small fee of $5.
Come by to work on your resume, or just meet new people by networking with others. All majors welcome. Please RSVP here
