SJSU Career Expo - March 5, 2008

March 5, 2008 – San Jose State Events Center – The career center put on a great career expo this year, featuring over 120 companies from around the Silicon Valley. Lots of the heavy hitters were out in force, including Cisco, Yahoo, IBM, PG&E, Target, and many more. Of course, there were plenty of smaller companies featuring booths with friendly recruiters ready to answer questions and get SJSU students (especially, of course, SAM members) started within their organizations. March 5 Career Expo

Just a reminder to all SAM members – the Career Center Job Fair Expo is on Wednesday March 5! Wear professional attire, practice your 1 minute pitch, and bring lots of targeted resumes. There will be over 120 companies attending and actively seeking new hires, so come early and bring your A-Game. There is no SAM meeting this week so that all our members can attend this great event.

Even if you’re not a graduating senior, there will be lots to learn from this experience, and many companies will be seeking non-graduating summer interns. Get the professional experience you need to bring your learning up to the next level.

Next week – Wednesday March 12 @ 4:30pm – we will be having an Interview Workshop that should help you reinforce the skills you need to interview well. See you there!
